What is the Winter Retreat?
The Winter Retreat is an annual conference previously hosted by Dental Artistry Academy. From 2026 it will be hosted by Dr Sheng Zhang.
The Winter Retreat takes place in Queenstown during the month of August every year.
The core objectives are to inspire, connect and recharge. The Winter Retreat is an opportunity for dentists from around the globe to join us for some rest and relaxation accompanied by high quality continuing professional development set among the natural beauty of Queenstown.
The Winter Retreat is timed perfectly to avoid the school holiday peak season, and is structured to allow guests plenty of time to enjoy adventuring, skiing, amazing food and wine tours.
The educational content covers a variety of topics across dentistry with a focus on periodontology and implantology to case studies and digital workflows. The workshops are taught by Dr Sheng Zhang and special guest speakers.
The next Winter Retreat will be taking place from 10th -12th August 2026 in Queenstown, New Zealand.
What is the Greater Winter Retreat?
The Great Winter Retreat is a triennial event which takes the conference to a more exotic location for greater learning, relaxation and fun. The next Greater Winter Retreat is scheduled for 19 - 22 January 2027 in Shiga Kogen, Nagano, Japan.
